Wife and Lover Arrested in Firozabad for Husband's Brutal Murder and Beheading

In a shocking crime that has sent shockwaves through the community, a 26-year-old woman and her 28-year-old lover have been arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Firozabad district for allegedly beheading her husband. The gruesome murder took place after the victim, 26-year-old Saurabh Singh, opposed their illicit affair.

Details of the Gruesome Crime

According to police officials, the victim, who worked as a local cab driver, was brutally murdered on January 9th. His wife, along with her lover Suraj and another associate named Salman (19), allegedly carried out the premeditated killing. The trio first slit Singh's throat before proceeding to sever his head in an attempt to wipe off evidence.

The investigation revealed that the accused dumped the victim's head in a borewell located in Jakhai village within the Narkhi area. Meanwhile, his torso was discovered inside a nearby hut situated in a secluded part of the village farm. The recovery of these body parts occurred on Sunday, following intensive police work.

Investigation and Arrests

The case came to light after Singh's family reported his disappearance to local authorities. During the subsequent investigation, suspicion quickly fell upon Suraj and Salman. Singh, who resided in Firozabad's Lakshmi Nagar area, had been married to the 26-year-old accused woman for several years.

SP City (Firozabad) Ravi Shankar Prasad confirmed that all three accused have been arrested. Based on a complaint filed by the victim's brother, an FIR has been registered at Narkhi police station under BNS sections 103(1) for murder and 238 for destroying evidence.

Police Encounter and Additional Charges

The arrest operation involved a brief encounter in Firozabad city when police confronted the two male accused with technical inputs and evidence. The suspects reportedly fired upon the police officers, leading to retaliatory action. During this exchange, Suraj sustained a gunshot wound to his leg and is currently receiving treatment at the district hospital. Salman remains in police custody.

Authorities have indicated that a separate FIR will be registered against the accused men under BNS section 109(1) for attempt to murder, along with relevant sections of the Arms Act for firing at police personnel.

Evidence Recovered and Motive

Police recovered several crucial pieces of evidence from the accused, including:

  • The victim's mobile phone
  • An illegal country-made pistol
  • A motorcycle
  • Two live .315 bore cartridges

The woman's arrest followed confessions from her accomplices. During further questioning, it emerged that Suraj had been involved in an illicit affair with Singh's wife. On January 9th, the three conspirators allegedly decided to eliminate Singh, leading to the brutal execution of their plan.
