Chandigarh: The Haryana government has announced free travel on Haryana Roadways buses for candidates appearing in the NEET re-examination scheduled on June 21. An official spokesperson stated that the decision was taken on the directions of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini to ensure candidates can reach their examination centres without transportation difficulties.
Eligibility and Dates
Eligible candidates will be allowed to travel free of cost in Haryana Roadways ordinary buses on June 20, a day before the examination, for journeys to their respective exam centres. The facility will also be available on June 21 for onward and return travel between candidates' homes and examination venues.
How to Avail the Facility
Candidates must produce a valid NEET admit card to avail themselves of the facility. The Directorate of State Transport has issued instructions to all Haryana Roadways general managers, while drivers and conductors have been directed to provide free travel to eligible candidates after verifying their admit cards.
Objective of the Initiative
The spokesperson said the initiative aims to reduce travel-related stress for students and help them reach examination centres on time. This move is expected to benefit thousands of candidates across the state.
