Demolition Drive in Pataudi
The Gurugram police, in coordination with the district administration, demolished an illegally constructed house belonging to an alleged drug peddler in the Vyapari Mohalla area of Pataudi on Wednesday. The operation was carried out under heavy police deployment to ensure law and order.
Zero-Tolerance Policy Against Crime
As part of its zero-tolerance policy, the Gurugram police have been taking stringent action against land mafias, drug traffickers, and habitual offenders. The illegally constructed property was identified based on intelligence inputs and demolished with the assistance of the district administration. The land was subsequently restored to its original condition.
Accused's Criminal Record
The accused, Shoaib, also known as Sikku, a resident of Vyapari Mohalla, Pataudi, has a history of serious criminal offenses. According to police records, he has been involved in 13 criminal cases, including four cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, three under the Gambling Act, one under the Arms Act, three cases of assault, rioting, and vandalism, two under the SC/ST Act, and one case of extortion and criminal intimidation.
Illegal Construction Details
The police investigation revealed that Shoaib had illegally built a single-storey house on approximately 120 square yards of land in Ward No. 11 of Vyapari Mohalla, Pataudi. After completing the required administrative procedures, the unauthorised structure was demolished.
Coordinated Operation
The demolition operation was conducted by the Crime Branch of Farrukhnagar in coordination with the district administration. Strict police supervision was maintained throughout the operation to uphold law and order.
