A 52-year-old head constable lost his life in a tragic road accident in Indore late on Friday night. The victim, identified as Mahesh Dhakad, succumbed to injuries after his motorcycle collided with iron sheets placed on the roadside for construction work.

The incident took place within the limits of the Rau police station area. According to police reports, Mahesh Dhakad, a resident of Pigdambar police lines, was returning home on his motorcycle when the accident occurred. To avoid an oncoming vehicle, he swerved his bike, leading to a direct collision with metal sheets and temporary shed-like structures placed along the road.
The impact of the crash was extremely severe. The motorcycle's wheel rim shattered upon impact, and the force threw Mahesh approximately 20 feet away from his vehicle. He landed on the concrete road, sustaining critical and fatal injuries to his head, arms, and legs.

Passersby who witnessed the accident quickly informed the police and called for an ambulance. The injured constable was rushed to a private hospital in a critical condition. Despite efforts by doctors, he was declared dead during treatment.
