Telangana EAGLE Force Busts Interstate MDMA, LSD Network; 5 Arrested
Hyderabad-Bengaluru Drug Network Busted, 5 Arrested

In a significant crackdown on narcotics trafficking, the Telangana EAGLE Force, in a joint operation with the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, has successfully dismantled an interstate drug distribution network. The syndicate was actively supplying MDMA and LSD across parts of Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Multiple Raids Lead to Arrests and Seizures

The coordinated police action resulted in the arrest of five individuals, comprising three alleged drug peddlers and two consumers. The raids were conducted across several locations in Hyderabad, including Sainikpuri, Neredmet, and Saroornagar. During these operations, law enforcement officials confiscated 15 grams of MDMA (also known as Ecstasy) and 12 blots of LSD. Additionally, four mobile phones were recovered from the accused, which are believed to have been used to coordinate the illegal trade.

Innovative Concealment and 'Dead Drop' Delivery Exposed

One of the key arrests was made near the Saroornagar Junior College Ground, where a 25-year-old suspect was apprehended. In a bid to evade detection, he had ingeniously hidden the 15 grams of MDMA inside the cotton stuffing of a travel neck pillow. Police stated that the accused initially tried to avoid suspicion, but a thorough search led to the discovery.

Investigations revealed a sophisticated modus operandi. The accused, who had a prior history of involvement in ganja-related crimes and had undergone rehabilitation, allegedly developed an addiction to MDMA while in Bengaluru. He sourced the drugs from the Karnataka capital. Payments for the narcotics were reportedly made via bank transfers and QR codes. To avoid direct contact, the drugs were then delivered using the 'dead drop' method, where contraband is left at pre-arranged, secluded locations, with coordinates shared digitally.

Wide Network Unraveled, Strict Action Promised

Police probes uncovered that the network had supplied MDMA to numerous customers in Hyderabad. Following a previous case in 2023, the accused had stopped meeting buyers in person altogether, relying solely on dead drops or courier services for delivery. The investigation has so far identified a broader chain, including 13 customers, four associates handling payments, and eight individuals whose bank account or UPI details were misused in the transaction链条.

In a parallel operation in Sainikpuri, the Kushaiguda police team arrested two consumers and two peddlers from a local coffee shop. From them, 0.2 grams of LSD blots were seized. All the arrested individuals and the seized narcotics have been handed over to the concerned police stations for further legal proceedings.

The Telangana EAGLE Force has issued a stern warning, emphasizing that strict legal action will be pursued not only against suppliers and peddlers but also against anyone found assisting in drug transactions, including those providing financial or logistical support.
