In a shocking crime that has rattled the Meerpet area, Hyderabad police have arrested a woman and her alleged lover for the brutal murder of her husband. The incident, which took place on Friday night, resulted from an extra-marital affair that turned deadly.
The Gruesome Crime in Meerpet
B Narayan, a 35-year-old plumber, was killed after being attacked on the head with an iron rod. The Nacharam police, who are investigating the case, stated that the murder was premeditated. The victim, a native of Odisha, had been married to the accused woman for eight years, and the couple had a young daughter. They had moved to Hyderabad a few years ago and were residing in Meerpet.
Affair and a Deadly Conspiracy
Investigators uncovered that the victim's wife, who worked as a sweeper at a public sector company, had allegedly developed a relationship with their neighbour, Vidhyasagar. Vidhyasagar, a welder by profession, lived close to the couple. The police revealed that the accused pair felt Narayan would object to their relationship. This fear led them to hatch a plan to eliminate him.
The plan was executed on Friday night. Vidhyasagar invited Narayan to his residence under the pretext of consuming alcohol. When the unsuspecting victim arrived, he was ambushed by both the accused. They attacked him with an iron rod, leading to his death.
Arrests and Judicial Custody
Acting on evidence and leads, the Nacharam police swiftly moved to apprehend the suspects. Both the woman and Vidhyasagar were arrested on Saturday, just a day after the crime. Following their arrest, the local court remanded them to judicial custody. The police have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing, but the primary motive appears to be the illicit affair between the two accused.
The tragic case highlights a grim instance of domestic betrayal and violence. It has left the local community in Meerpet in a state of disbelief, as a family dispute escalated into a fatal conspiracy.
