Devastating Truck Accident in Kannauj Claims Two Lives, Leaves Three Critically Injured

A horrific road accident involving a speeding coal-laden truck resulted in the tragic deaths of two individuals, including a 14-year-old schoolgirl, and left three others in critical condition in Kannauj district on Sunday morning. The incident occurred at Bhaulpur Tiraha in the Chhibramau Kotwali area, sending shockwaves through the local community.

Details of the Fatal Collision

According to police reports, the accident unfolded around 8:30 AM when the overloaded truck, traveling at high speed, lost control at the intersection. The vehicle first struck a scooter from behind, which was being ridden by 14-year-old Anshika, a resident of Durga Nagar. The impact dragged the young high school student, who was on her way to a coaching class, under the truck. The truck then careened into a roadside shop before overturning completely.

As the truck toppled, it trapped 65-year-old fruit vendor Kanhaiyalal, his two sons Ankit and Amit, and their helper Adarsh Pal underneath a massive heap of spilled coal. Local residents immediately rushed to the scene, initiating rescue efforts and alerting the police and emergency services.
