Kenneth, the live-in partner of Bengaluru techie Shwetha, has been arrested in Puducherry after a four-day manhunt for the KR Puram triple murder. Police confirmed the arrest on 26 June 2026, ending a search that spanned multiple states.
Details of the Arrest
Kenneth was apprehended by a joint team of Bengaluru and Puducherry police from a lodge in the coastal town. According to officials, he had managed to evade arrest after allegedly separating from Shwetha following their escape on his motorcycle from Bengaluru. The duo was wanted for the murder of three people in KR Puram on 22 June.
Background of the Case
The triple murder shocked the city, with victims identified as two men and a woman, all in their late 20s. Police suspect a personal vendetta linked to Kenneth's relationship with Shwetha. The couple had been living together for over a year, and disputes with the victims allegedly escalated into violence.
Manhunt and Investigation
After the murder, Kenneth and Shwetha fled on a motorcycle, triggering a multi-state search. Shwetha was earlier detained in Tamil Nadu but Kenneth remained at large. Investigators tracked his movements through CCTV footage and mobile tower data, leading to his capture in Puducherry. The police have recovered a weapon believed to be used in the crime.
According to a senior police officer, Kenneth was found hiding in a lodge under a false identity. He is being brought to Bengaluru for further interrogation. The arrest brings a major breakthrough in the case, with authorities now focusing on establishing the motive and sequence of events.
