Land Dealer Gunned Down in Broad Daylight

In a brazen attack that has sent shockwaves through the district, a 40-year-old land dealer was shot dead by two unidentified criminals on a motorcycle in Sitamarhi on Saturday evening. The victim, identified as Ram Babu Rai, a resident of Bhisa village, was ambushed and killed while on his way towards Dumra.

Details of the Attack

The incident occurred on the Bhisa Dumra Road. According to police reports, the assailants waylaid Ram Babu Rai and fired three shots at his head at close range. After executing the attack, the criminals fled the scene, heading towards Muzaffarpur.

Police teams arriving at the spot conducted a preliminary investigation and recovered three empty cartridges from the scene. The swift and violent nature of the attack suggests a planned execution. Authorities have confirmed that the victim had a criminal background, which is being considered a significant angle in the ongoing probe.

Rising Crime and Police Investigation

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the case. The Dumra police station is leading the investigation, piecing together evidence and witness accounts to identify the motorcycle-borne shooters.

This murder is not an isolated event.
