Police have arrested the main accused and launched a search for his accomplices following a shooting incident in Lucknow's Hans Vihar colony. The incident took place on Tuesday when a heated argument escalated into violence, leaving a woman injured.
Details of the Incident
According to police, Aditya Singh (21) had a heated argument with a woman identified as Divya, who resides in the same building. Following the altercation, Divya allegedly called her associates, including the main accused, a gym trainer identified as Divyansh Singh (21). Several men arrived at the spot and allegedly attacked Aditya, escalating the situation into a violent confrontation.
The Shooting
As Aditya's mother stepped in to protect her son, one of the accused — allegedly Divyansh — opened fire. The bullet struck the woman in her leg, leaving her seriously injured. She was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she is currently undergoing treatment. Local residents alerted the police after hearing the gunshot.
Arrest and Legal Action
Divyansh Singh, a native of Bahraich currently residing in Lucknow's BBD area, was arrested. Inspector Dinesh Chandra Mishra confirmed that a case has been registered against five named accused and several unidentified persons under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Police are continuing their search for the remaining suspects.
