A chilling case of abduction and torture has emerged from Lucknow, where a 17-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped, stripped, and terrorised at gunpoint for nearly five hours on New Year's night. The incident, rooted in an old colony dispute, occurred in the Rajajipuram area, with police revealing details on Sunday.
Revenge Attack Over Past Dispute
According to the police, the horrific act was a revenge attack. The victim had reportedly sided with the opposite party during a previous altercation involving the accused. This past enmity allegedly triggered the brutal abduction on the night of December 31.
Details of the Ordeal from FIR
An FIR lodged at the Talkatora police station paints a grim picture. The minor was forced into a car around 2 am on December 31 from outside his house in Rajajipuram. The assailants took him to a deserted location.
There, they placed an illegal pistol to his head, stripped him, and thrashed him mercilessly. The FIR states the accused demanded a ransom of Rs 5 lakh from his family, threatening to kill him if the money was not arranged.
The victim was held captive for four to five hours, pleading for mercy with folded hands, as seen in a video that later surfaced online. He was finally released near his home around 6 am on January 1 and returned home in a severely traumatised state.
Viral Video and Police Action
The gravity of the crime came to light after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The footage shows the accused beating the boy inside a vehicle while pointing a pistol at him and forcibly removing his clothes.
Taking cognisance of the matter and the viral evidence, the Lucknow police promptly registered an FIR based on the complaint filed by the victim's family. Investigations are now underway to identify and apprehend all the accused involved in this heinous crime.
