A migrant worker has landed in trouble after recording a video inside the Trichy collector’s camp office on Khajamalai Road and posting it on social media. The incident occurred while officials and staff members were not present, according to sources.
Video Goes Viral
The worker, who had come for some work, entered the collector’s room, sat in the armchair, and recorded the video. He then uploaded it to his social media account, where it quickly went viral and was widely reported in the media.
Administration Responds
The Trichy district administration, led by collector Pratik Tayal, issued a release on Friday stating that action is being taken against the worker. The collector’s camp office is currently undergoing renovation and maintenance work, which may have contributed to the lack of supervision at the time.
