Search for Missing Boy Intensifies at Bhopal Railway Station
Bhopal: Two days after six-year-old Ansh Maina went missing from a private hospital near Royal Market in the Koh-e-Fiza area, police have expanded the search to Bhopal railway station following fresh CCTV footage that showed the child playing alone on platforms 2, 3, and 6.
Teams from the Koh-e-Fiza police station, along with Government Railway Police (GRP) personnel, searched the platforms and surrounding areas on Thursday but failed to locate the boy. Police personnel have now stationed themselves at the railway station and are scanning CCTV footage to trace his movements.
Child Vanished While Mother Was Hospitalized
Ansh went missing on Tuesday while accompanying his mother, who was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Royal Market. According to police, the child came out of the hospital while playing and did not return.
Police initially examined CCTV footage from the hospital and surrounding areas, which showed a mentally challenged man walking along with the child. Police questioned the man, but he could not provide any useful information due to his mental condition.
Route Map and Expanded Search
Based on CCTV footage, police prepared a route map and conducted searches around Noor Mahal Road, Navbahar Sabzi Mandi, and the Nadra Bus stand area, but found no clue. Fresh footage later captured Ansh at Bhopal railway station, where he was seen alone on platforms 2, 3, and 6. Following this lead, police intensified searches at the station and nearby areas.
Police had earlier announced a reward of Rs 10,000 for information leading to the child's whereabouts. Multiple teams, along with GRP and volunteers, are continuing the search.
