Tragic Incident in Srikakulam
Visakhapatnam: In a tragic incident, three members of a family, including a mother and her two children, were found lifeless under suspicious circumstances between Palasa and Talabhadra in Srikakulam district on Friday morning. The deceased have been identified as Gedela Poojitha (Pooja), her son Kushant, and her daughter Deekshita, all residents of Chalamayapeta locality under Kotabommali mandal in the district.
Pooja, a native of Bhavanapadu locality, was married to Venkata Rao, an electrician, about eight years ago. The couple had two children. According to Pooja's family members, Venkata Rao was addicted to liquor and allegedly harassed his wife. They further claimed that Pooja was mentally harassed by her in-laws and faced severe difficulties in her marital life.
Allegations and Investigation
The family members of Pooja have alleged that Venkata Rao and his family are responsible for the deaths of the trio. They expressed doubts over the nature of the deaths, suggesting that it might be a case of murder rather than suicide. The railway police have shifted the bodies to the government hospital in Palasa for post-mortem examination.
