The Madhya Pradesh government on Sunday issued transfer orders for three IPS officers, marking a significant administrative reshuffle. The transfers include senior officer Ravnesh Sagar, who has been moved from the Special Armed Force (SAF) in Gwalior to the police headquarters in Bhopal. Additionally, Ashutosh Bagri has been appointed as the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Burhanpur district.
Details of the Transfers
According to the home department order, Ravnesh Sagar, a 2010-batch IPS officer, was previously serving as Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and commandant of the 2nd Battalion, SAF, in Gwalior. He has now been posted as DIG at the police headquarters in Bhopal, a key administrative role.
Ashutosh Bagri, a 2015-batch IPS officer, who was serving as commandant of the 17th Battalion SAF in Bhind, has been appointed as the SP of Burhanpur district. This move is expected to strengthen the police leadership in the region.
Vidita Dagar, a 2021-batch IPS officer, who was serving as additional SP in Gwalior, has been posted as commandant of the 2nd Battalion SAF in Gwalior, replacing Ravnesh Sagar. Her new role involves leading the battalion in maintaining law and order.
Impact of the Reshuffle
The transfers are part of the state government's routine administrative adjustments aimed at optimizing police force management. The new postings are effective immediately, and the officers have been directed to assume their new responsibilities without delay.
