A 42-year-old police constable attached to the Mumbai Police force allegedly died by suicide in the Titwala area on Sunday morning, according to officials. The deceased has been identified as Bhaurao Dagdu Dhage, a native of Katalapur village in Akole taluka of Ahmednagar district. He was currently residing in the Panchvati area of Titwala, specifically in Geetanjali building.
Dhage was posted as a constable at the Yellow Gate police station in Mumbai. Preliminary information suggests that he had recently returned from his native village. His body was discovered early Sunday morning beneath a railway bridge in Titwala. Police personnel rushed to the scene, took custody of the body, and sent it for post-mortem examination.
The exact reason behind the suicide is yet to be ascertained. An accidental death report (ADR) has been registered at the Titwala police station, and further investigation is underway. Senior Police Inspector Mukesh Dhage stated that all possible angles are being probed and the cause behind the incident will be determined soon. Authorities are examining his recent activities and any potential stressors that may have contributed to the tragic event.
