Nurse, attendants clash over IV drip at Morena hospital

A confrontation between a nurse and two attendants at Morena district hospital on Thursday has led to cross-complaints, with both sides accusing each other of misconduct. The incident occurred in the male medical ward when the nurse was attending to a critically ill patient.

Nurse's Allegations

According to the nurse's complaint, the attendants demanded that their relative be administered an IV drip immediately. When she explained that the critically ill patient required priority treatment, they persisted. She alleged that one of the men claimed to be a BJP leader, showed a photograph with Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Aidal Singh Kansana, made objectionable remarks, and threatened to get her removed from service. She also suggested they could shift the patient to a private facility if unwilling to wait.

Attendants' Version

The attendants, however, accused the nurse of negligence and rude behavior. They alleged that when questioned, she lost her temper and threw an IV drip bottle at them. They denied claiming any political affiliation.
