Woman Alleges Drugging and Rape by Known Property Dealer in Panipat

A woman in Panipat has accused a property dealer of drugging and raping her at her residence. The incident came to light after she filed a complaint with the Quila police, leading to the registration of a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused and his accomplices.

Victim's Account: Deceptive Visit Leads to Assault

According to the victim's complaint, her husband works away from home, and she lives with their three children. The family had been planning to sell their house and had contacted several property dealers. On June 16, the accused property dealer called, claiming to have a customer interested in viewing the house. As she was alone, she declined. The next morning, June 17, the dealer called again with the same request, which she again refused.

Later that evening, around 5 pm, the dealer arrived at her home carrying eatables. He claimed to have finalized a profitable deal for the house and asked to see the upper floor. He offered her juice, insisting on the deal's profitability. After consuming the juice, she lost consciousness and was raped. Upon regaining consciousness, the accused called other accomplices to the house and threatened to kill her and her family if she reported the incident.
