According to the suspension order dated June 18, the inspector, who was posted at the deputy regional transport office (RTO) in Parbhani, violated provisions of the Maharashtra Civil Services (Conduct) Rules. The order specifies that he made statements to the media about state government decisions and schemes without obtaining prior permission from the transport commissioner.

Allegations Against the Inspector

The inspector is accused of filing complaints related to government decisions on the border verification process and expressing opinions in the media that conflicted with the official government stance. Authorities also noted that he failed to provide a satisfactory response to a show-cause notice issued by the transport commissioner on May 8, 2026.

Suspension and Conditions

Pending an inquiry, the inspector has been placed under suspension in accordance with the Maharashtra Civil Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules. During the suspension period, his headquarters will remain at the deputy RTO office in Parbhani. He has been directed not to leave without prior permission from the deputy regional transport officer. The order also prohibits him from taking up any private employment or engaging in business activities during the suspension. He will be entitled to subsistence allowance and other admissible benefits as per service rules.
