Police in Prayagraj have made a significant arrest, capturing two brothers involved in multiple robbery cases. The Meja police station team took Vikas Pal and Abhishek Pal into custody on Sunday.

Officers apprehended the duo near Kathauli Bridge Road. Authorities caught them as they prepared to leave the town. From the brothers, police seized valuable items including gold and silver ornaments.

Recovered Items

The recovery list includes two mobile phones and two motorcycles. Police also confiscated cash amounting to four thousand six hundred seventy rupees. All these items came from the possession of the arrested individuals.

Criminal Activities

These brothers committed their first known robbery on December second. They targeted a woman near the Meja Road overbridge. Using a knife, they stole her purse containing cash, a mobile phone, and jewellery.

Their second robbery occurred on December twenty-eighth. Another woman in Meja became their victim. Police connected both incidents to the same perpetrators.

Criminal Records

Vikas Pal faces serious allegations across multiple jurisdictions. Different police stations in Prayagraj and Mirzapur districts have registered twenty cases against him. His brother Abhishek Pal also has a criminal history. Authorities wanted him in connection with five separate cases.

Police Statement

Law enforcement officials confirmed the arrests during their investigation. They emphasized that both brothers operated within the trans-Yamuna area of the district. The police action prevented their planned escape from the town.
