Pune Police to Forensically Examine Seized Devices

The Pune police will thoroughly examine all electronic devices, including laptops, tablets, and pen drives, recovered from the bungalow-cum-ashram of self-styled guru Radhamohan Mishra in Ubalenagar, Wagholi. These devices will be sent for forensic analysis to uncover additional evidence.

Seized Devices

During the early morning raid on Wednesday, authorities confiscated 19 hard disks, 12 laptops, a tablet, 11 cellphones, DVDs, CDs, and 23 pen drives from Mishra's residence. Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Tejaswi Satpute stated, "We will study all these electronic devices thoroughly and conduct forensic examination for further probe."

Incriminating Evidence Expected

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Crime) Gauhar Hasan remarked, "We suspect that these electronic storage devices will have a lot of incriminating evidence. We will try to locate the women if we stumble upon their clips in these electronic storage devices."

Appeal for More Victims

The police anticipate additional women filing complaints against Mishra. Satpute said, "We suspect that he might have sexually exploited many women. We have appealed to victims to approach the police with their complaints."

A 41-year-old victim from Sinhagad Road, an employee of a prominent company, lodged a complaint on Tuesday night. A team of 200 police personnel raided Mishra's bungalow early Wednesday, arresting him and seven disciples, including six women.

Modus Operandi

According to police, Mishra lured women, mostly highly educated, to his bungalow with promises to resolve family, health, and financial issues, then sexually abused them. Mishra settled in Pune eight years ago and operated his ashram from the Ubalenagar bungalow.
