Quack Arrested in Kurukshetra for Causing Boy's Death

The Kurukshetra police have arrested a quack who had been operating a clinic under the jurisdiction of the Krishna Gate police station. The accused has been identified as Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Jhansa road.

Incident Details

Complainant Karamchand of Saini Colony reported to the police that he brought his minor grandson to Rakesh Kumar's clinic on June 15 for treatment of an abscess on his knee. Rakesh Kumar informed the complainant that an incision was necessary to treat the abscess. He then administered two injections to the boy, after which the boy's health began to deteriorate. Subsequently, the accused took the boy to a private hospital, where he received treatment for two days. On June 17, the boy was referred to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGI) in Chandigarh, where he died while undergoing treatment.

Investigation and Arrest

Following the complaint, the police launched an investigation. It came to light that the accused was a quack and had been running the clinic without proper permission. The police spokesman stated that the accused was produced before a court on the day of his arrest, which remanded him to judicial custody.
