A security alert has been issued across Punjab following two separate blast incidents in Jalandhar and Amritsar late last night. The explosions have prompted heightened vigilance and a comprehensive investigation by security agencies.
Jalandhar Incident
In Jalandhar, a parked scooter exploded near the Border Security Force (BSF) Headquarters, located in a high-security zone, around late night. The area was immediately cordoned off by police, and a detailed investigation has been launched. According to sources, a team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is en route to assist in the probe, indicating the seriousness of the incident.
Amritsar Blast
In a separate incident, a blast was reported at approximately 10:50 PM in the Khassa cantonment area of Amritsar. Morning visuals from the site show heightened security arrangements as investigations continue inside the cantonment zone. Authorities have not yet disclosed the nature or cause of the explosion.
