An alleged dooring accident involving an SUV left two bikers injured in Bhopal's Habibganj area on Thursday night. The victims were then allegedly assaulted by three occupants of the vehicle, according to police. Habibganj police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
Incident Details
According to police, Prashant Sen, a resident of the Chhola area, was returning home with his friend Arslan on a motorcycle after leaving Chunabhatti around 9:45 pm. When they reached near Hawkers Corner at 6-Number, a youth traveling in a numberless SUV allegedly opened the rear door without warning.
The motorcycle rammed into the suddenly opened door, causing both riders to lose balance and fall onto the road. They sustained injuries in the crash.
Assault and Escape
Police said that instead of helping the injured men, three youths traveling in the SUV got out and started abusing them. When Prashant and Arslan objected, the trio allegedly assaulted them and fled the spot.
Authorities are investigating the case and searching for the suspects. Further details are awaited.
