The police reported that the suspect, identified as Verma, exploited the situation after the accountant, Gautam Raj, was allegedly forced to consume excessive alcohol at the gathering.

The event took place at a party organized for showroom staff, where alcohol was served. According to authorities, the accountant was deliberately made to drink heavily, rendering him unconscious. Taking advantage of his condition, Verma allegedly removed the showroom keys from Raj's bag and fled the scene.

Law enforcement officials have launched a thorough investigation into the theft. They are reviewing CCTV footage and questioning other employees to trace the suspect's whereabouts. The stolen amount, exceeding Rs 4 crore, includes both cash and valuable ornaments from the showroom's inventory.
