Teenager Escapes After 12 Days of Captivity and Sexual Assault

A horrific case of sexual violence has emerged from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, where a 14-year-old girl was allegedly gangraped after being held captive for twelve days. The incident came to light when the brave survivor managed to escape on November 25 and returned home to narrate her traumatic ordeal to her mother.

The Deceptive Invitation That Turned Into Nightmare

According to police statements made on Sunday, the nightmare began on November 13 when the victim's friend invited her to his house. What seemed like a casual visit quickly turned sinister when the friend allegedly spiked her cold drink with sleeping pills. The girl lost consciousness shortly after consuming the beverage.

When she regained partial consciousness, the minor realized she was being sexually assaulted by her friend's father and two of his acquaintances. The perpetrators kept her confined in a room where she was repeatedly violated multiple times over the next twelve days.

Police Action and Legal Proceedings

Hapur Superintendent of Police Kunwar Gyananjay Singh confirmed that a First Information Report has been registered under multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act.

The FIR includes charges under BNS Section 70(2) for gangrape, Section 127 for wrongful confinement, Section 123 for causing hurt by poison, Section 137 for kidnapping, and Sections 5/6 of the Pocso Act.

Police have made significant progress in the case with two arrests already made. However, the prime suspects - the survivor's friend and his father - remain at large as the search operation continues.

Family Background and Missing Report

The victim's family had been desperately searching for her since her disappearance. Her mother, who supports the family by working in other houses in the locality, had filed a missing person's report on November 14, just one day after her daughter went missing.

The family's situation is particularly challenging as the girl's father suffers from a kidney ailment and remains unwell most of the time, making the mother the sole earning member.

The survivor was sent for medical examination following her escape, and authorities have confirmed that her condition is currently stable. The case has sent shockwaves through the community and highlights the urgent need for stronger child protection measures.
