Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested an overground worker (OGW) on Tuesday for allegedly facilitating the infiltration of terrorists from across the International Border in Kathua district. The accused has been identified as Haji Mohammad Lateef, a resident of Kathua.

Arrest Based on Intelligence Inputs

Acting on specific intelligence inputs, a police team apprehended the OGW, officials said. Preliminary investigations revealed that Lateef had been in contact with Pakistan-based handlers for several years and provided logistical support to infiltrating terrorists. He is accused of playing a crucial role in assisting the infiltration of more than a dozen terrorists into Indian territory over the years.
