The dramatic event unfolded on the Annur-Karumathampatti Road near Karumathampatti. Around 3 am on Sunday, the speeding truck lost control. According to a police officer on the scene, the primary cause was a sudden brake failure. "The truck rammed the electric pole after its brakes failed, and the driver lost control of the vehicle," the officer stated.

Driver's Narrow Escape and Rescue Operation

In a fortunate turn of events, the truck driver managed to jump out of the vehicle to safety moments before it was engulfed in flames. Alerted about the accident and the ensuing fire, fire and rescue personnel rushed to the spot promptly.
