The apprehended suspects have been identified as Abdul Khader, aged 32, who resides near Beemapally UP School, and Zaheer Khan, aged 25, from Vallakkadavu. Both were taken into custody by the city Dansaf team operating in the Beemapally area before being formally handed over to the Valiyathura police station for further legal processing.

According to the official complaint filed with authorities, the disturbing incident took place on March 17 in close proximity to the Valiyathura bridge. The victim reported that he was intercepted by a group of individuals who subsequently subjected him to verbal abuse and physical violence.
The assailants not only attacked the complainant but also forcibly took possession of his personal belongings, including his mobile phone and approximately Rs 4,000 in cash. In a particularly alarming development, the victim stated that the perpetrators threatened him with a knife during the confrontation.
