Uttar Pradesh Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna delivered clear instructions to police officials on Tuesday. High-Level Review Meeting Focuses on Multiple Security Aspects
Rajeev Krishna chaired a high-level review meeting in Lucknow. The meeting concentrated on strengthening several key areas. These included law and order, crime control, women's safety, road safety, and the use of advanced technology in policing.
The DGP congratulated senior officers for successfully organizing the State-Level Senior Police Officers' Conference–2025. People commonly refer to this event as 'Police Manthan'. He revealed that all proposals and recommendations from the conference's eleven thematic sessions received in-principle approval from the Chief Minister.
"Any laxity in crime control or maintenance of law and order will not be tolerated at any level," the DGP stated firmly. He directed officers to ensure time-bound implementation of all approved ideas without any delay.
Mission Shakti Initiative Shows Positive Results
The police chief highlighted the encouraging outcomes of the Mission Shakti initiative across Uttar Pradesh. Awareness campaigns run through Mission Shakti centers achieved significant success. They not only enhanced women's safety but also improved the public image of the police substantially.
These efforts fostered stronger and more positive community relations throughout the state.
Zero Fatality District Campaign Expands to More Districts
Rajeev Krishna also reviewed the progress of the Zero Fatality District campaign. He reported positive outcomes in twenty districts during the first phase. Based on this success, the campaign will now expand to the remaining fifty-five districts in the second phase.
Yaksh App Integrates Multiple Initiatives with Advanced Features
The DGP discussed the newly launched Yaksh App during the meeting. This innovative application integrates several ongoing police initiatives into a single digital platform. Operation Pehchaan, Operation Trinetra, and Beat Prahari now function together through this app.
Rajeev Krishna instructed officials to thoroughly verify all data fed into the app during the first phase. Verification must occur at every level to ensure accuracy and reliability.
He highlighted the app's advanced capabilities with particular emphasis. The Yaksh App comes equipped with AI-powered facial recognition and voice search features. These technological tools will significantly aid police in crime detection, criminal identification, and crime prevention efforts across Uttar Pradesh.
