Varanasi: The Cantt police on Friday arrested the accused in a theft case linked to a railway catering establishment operating in Mint House located in Nadesar under the Cantt police station area.
The police team, led by in-charge inspector Raj Kishore Pandey, apprehended the accused employee, Prashant Kumar Singh, a resident of Begusarai, Bihar. Cash and two mobile phones found in his possession were seized.
According to the police, a case was registered based on a complaint by the restaurant operator. After a preliminary investigation, a search for the accused was launched. The accused was arrested near platform number 9 of Cantt railway station. The police are interrogating the accused. Investigation into other aspects of the case and necessary legal action are underway.
