Belagavi: In a tragic incident, a woman died after falling from a moving motorcycle when her son applied sudden brakes to avoid hitting a stray dog near Sambra village, Belagavi taluk on Thursday.
Victim Identified
The deceased has been identified as Shantavva Kalmath, who was riding pillion on a motorcycle driven by her son, Mahantesh Kalmath. They were traveling from Pantabalekundri when a stray dog suddenly darted onto the road.
Incident Details
In an attempt to avoid injuring the animal, Mahantesh applied the brakes abruptly. The sudden impact caused Shantavva to lose balance and fall onto the road. She sustained severe injuries and died on the spot.
