Woman, Two Goats Killed in Hit-and-Run on Bharat Mala Road

A woman and two goats were killed in a hit-and-run accident after a speeding Bolero Camper struck them on the Bharat Mala Road in Barmer district on Monday morning, police said.

Victim Identified

The deceased was identified as Badli Devi, wife of Krishnaram, a resident of Bawdi Kalan village in Chauhtan. She was on her way to the fields to graze goats when the accident occurred at Bawdi Kalan (Meethe Ka Tala village) under the Dhanau police station area.

Accident Details

Police said the crash happened about one kilometre from Bawdi village towards Dhanau. The Bolero Camper, coming from the opposite direction, struck Badli Devi and the goats. All three died on the spot.

Hearing the impact, locals rushed to the site. The driver fled, leaving the vehicle and its goods on the road. Dhanau police reached the spot and seized the Bolero Camper.

Post-Mortem and Investigation

Badli Devi was taken to Chauhtan Hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Her son, Shravan Kumar, filed a report. After the post-mortem, the body was handed over to the family. Police said further investigation is ongoing.
