CCTV Captures Self-Injury Stunt in Amroha

A CCTV video from Naugawan Sadat in Amroha has purportedly revealed a youth's deliberate attempt at self-injury to frame a rival and implicate a false criminal case. The incident occurred amidst an ongoing legal tussle between the parties.

Details of the Incident

Rais Ahmad, Ishrat Ali and Ashraf Hayat arrived at the residence of their rival, Arshad; the meeting resulted in a scuffle requiring police intervention. What happened next was captured on the camera, in the presence of the responding police officers: Ashraf, one of the youths, banged his head against a wall to fabricate injuries to force a case against the opposing side and use this injury to favour his case.

Police Action and Legal Proceedings

“The police have registered a case against the accused under sections 33, 115(2), 352, 351(2), 324(4) of BNS and detained the accused on Saturday. The legal proceedings are ongoing,” said SP Lakhan Singh Yadav.

Complainant's Allegations

Complainant Arshad alleged that the three accused entered his house, attacked and abused him in the presence of the officers. He further alleged that if the case isn’t withdrawn, they threatened to kill him and his children. As the CCTV was damaged, none of it was recorded. He has submitted a fresh application to the SP as the threats against his family have persisted.
