The final rites for Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) stalwart and former Maharashtra deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar were solemnly concluded on Friday with the immersion of his ashes in the revered Falgu river at Dev Ghat in Gaya, Bihar. "The ashes are being immersed in various sacred rivers across the nation as part of the final rites," Singh stated. "I was entrusted with the duty of performing the immersion in the holy Falgu river. The rituals, including the Gaya Shraddh, were meticulously carried out by acharyas from the esteemed Gayapal panda community at Dev Ghat, adhering strictly to ancient Vedic customs."
