MLA Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar attended the funeral and spoke to the media, expressing deep sorrow over the incident. He emphasized that families invest love, care, money, and effort into raising and educating their children, only to be shattered by such tragedies that shake the entire society.
Nijjar pointed out significant shortcomings in the aviation system that must be acknowledged and corrected. He alleged that many aviation companies lack adequate spare parts and properly trained staff, leading to safety compromises due to staff shortages and other gaps.
