Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home, Bandi Sanjay, on Tuesday defended his son, Bandi Bageerath, in connection with a POCSO case filed against him, asserting that his son had done nothing wrong. He expressed his determination to confront anyone conspiring against his family, likening his resolve to Lord Hanuman's burning of Lanka.
Hanuman Ekta Yatra Remarks
During the Hanuman Ekta Yatra held in Karimnagar, Bandi Sanjay declared his intent to eliminate elements he alleged were conspiring against him and his family. He stated, "I am a devoted follower of Lord Hanuman. Those creating trouble will ultimately face consequences." Drawing a parallel to the epic Ramayana, he noted that even Lord Rama experienced exile, adding that he carries the saffron flag in his heart.
Fatherly Admission and Legal Stand
Bandi Sanjay admitted, "I made a mistake. I never gave enough time to my son." He reiterated that his son had done nothing wrong but accused others of attempting to portray him as a criminal. He emphasized that anyone who commits a mistake should be punished, affirming that no one is above the law. He also stated that party workers are like family and should support him in this situation.
The Union minister's remarks come amid heightened political tensions, with the opposition demanding strict action in the POCSO case. Bandi Sanjay's strong stance reflects his determination to protect his family while upholding the rule of law.
