Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has announced that metro services at Hosahalli and Cubbon Park stations will commence at 9 AM on May 17. This temporary change is due to maintenance work on the track between these two stations.
Revised Timings for May 17
The BMRCL issued a statement saying that the first train from both Hosahalli and Cubbon Park stations will depart at 9 AM instead of the usual early morning schedule. Commuters planning to use these stations before 9 AM are advised to make alternative arrangements. The rest of the metro network will operate as per the regular timetable.
Reason for the Delay
The delay is attributed to scheduled maintenance activities that require the track to be cleared between Hosahalli and Cubbon Park. The BMRCL has assured that all safety protocols will be followed during this period.
Passengers are encouraged to check the official BMRCL website or mobile app for real-time updates. The corporation also requested commuters to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
Impact on Commuters
This change is expected to affect thousands of daily passengers who rely on these stations for their morning commute. The BMRCL has deployed additional staff at the affected stations to assist passengers and provide information.
Normal services are expected to resume from May 18. The BMRCL apologised for any inconvenience caused and thanked commuters for their cooperation.
