Ludhiana: The local unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for the inaugural visit of the newly-appointed national president, Nitin Nabin, to Punjab and Ludhiana on June 21 and 22.
Party leaders confirmed that Nabin will arrive in Punjab on June 20. His itinerary includes a visit to the Golden Temple in Amritsar on the first day. On June 21, he will participate in yoga sessions with the Border Security Force (BSF) at the Attari border to commemorate World Yoga Day.
During his stay, the national president is scheduled to hold meetings with party workers to energize them and boost their morale ahead of the upcoming Punjab assembly elections.
A preparatory meeting was held on Thursday under the chairmanship of BJP district president Rajnish Dhiman to discuss arrangements for the visit.
