BJP National President Nitin Nabin to Embark on Two-Day Assam Tour Ahead of Assembly Elections

In a strategic move to bolster party morale and ideological commitment, BJP national president Nitin Nabin is scheduled to visit Assam for a two-day tour commencing on February 18. This visit is timed to galvanize the party's rank and file in preparation for the upcoming polls to the 126-member legislative assembly, aiming to instill renewed enthusiasm and resolve among workers.

Grand Welcome and Cultural Extravaganza Planned for Nabin's Arrival

Addressing a press conference at the BJP's state headquarters in Guwahati, state spokesperson Kalyan Gogoi detailed the itinerary. Nabin will arrive at Mohanbari Airport in Dibrugarh on February 18, where he will be accorded a grand and traditional welcome by nearly 2,000 party workers and cultural performers. This reception is designed to showcase Assam's vibrant heritage and demonstrate the party's grassroots support.

Upon reaching Khanikar Chariali, Nabin will be greeted by fifteen cultural troupes, further emphasizing the region's rich cultural tapestry. From there, he will proceed in an open vehicle procession to Mancotta Playground, where he will participate in the Pristha Pramukh Sammelan organized by the state BJP. Gogoi noted that an estimated 20,085 Pristha Pramukhs are expected to attend this significant congregation, highlighting the scale of the event.

Key Meetings and Engagements to Strengthen Party Framework

Following the sammelan, Nabin will grace the Prabuddha Nagarik Sammelan at the District Library Auditorium, engaging with enlightened citizens and community leaders. Subsequently, he will convene an organizational meeting with party workers from the Dibrugarh and Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituencies, focusing on strategic planning and coordination for the electoral battle ahead.

On February 19, the tour will continue with a spiritual and reflective tone. Nabin will offer prayers at Barekuri Namghar, a revered place of worship, before paying floral tributes at the samadhi of Swargadeo Sarbananda Singha, honoring a historical figure of importance. The day will conclude with an interaction with booth-level party workers at a designated booth under the Manohari Tea Garden, ensuring direct engagement with the grassroots.

Objective: Instilling Confidence and Unwavering Resolve Among Workers

Gogoi emphasized that this visit is poised to instill renewed enthusiasm, confidence, and unwavering resolve among the party's rank and file. By combining cultural showcases, large-scale meetings, and intimate interactions, the tour aims to reinforce the BJP's ideological foundations and operational readiness as the assembly elections approach.

The meticulous planning of events, from traditional welcomes to organizational discussions, underscores the party's commitment to mobilizing its workforce effectively. This two-day tour is seen as a critical step in energizing the BJP's base in Assam, setting the stage for a vigorous campaign in the forthcoming polls.
