At least 10 people were killed and 15 others injured when a bus collided with a truck on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway in Rajasthan's Dausa district early Wednesday morning. The accident occurred near the Lalsot area around 4:30 AM, according to police officials.

The bus, traveling from Delhi to Mumbai, rammed into a stationary truck parked on the expressway. The impact was so severe that the bus's front portion was completely mangled. Rescue operations were launched immediately, with local police and ambulances rushing to the spot. The injured were taken to nearby hospitals in Dausa and Lalsot.
Dausa Superintendent of Police (SP) Ravi Prakash confirmed the death toll and said that the truck driver fled the scene after the collision. He stated, "The bus was speeding and the truck was parked without proper warning signs. We are investigating the matter."
Government Response
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed grief over the incident and announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 to the injured. He directed officials to ensure proper treatment for the injured and a thorough investigation into the accident.
Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari also expressed condolences and said that the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) would review safety measures on the expressway.
