Cockroach Janta Party founder Dipke has announced an indefinite sit-in at Jantar Mantar in Delhi, despite police objections. The protest, which began on Saturday, demands that authorities provide a fresh protest site for the group.
Protest Continues Despite Opposition
Till late evening, scores of protesters, including Dipke and members of Left student organizations such as the All India Students Association (AISA), Students' Federation of India (SFI), and All India Students' Federation (AISF), were still at Jantar Mantar, continuing their demonstration. The protesters have vowed to remain until their demands are met.
Demand for New Protest Site
The core demand of the protesters is the allocation of a new location for their agitation. Dipke stated that the current site at Jantar Mantar is insufficient and that the government must provide an alternative space. He emphasized that the sit-in would continue indefinitely until the authorities respond positively.
