Four Killed in Rajkot Car-Truck Collision

Rajkot: A tragic road accident near Haripar village in Morbi district's Maliya Miyana area on Monday claimed four lives and left two others injured. The collision occurred when a car carrying six passengers crashed into a truck.

Victims Identified

The deceased have been identified as Manoj Kapadiya, his son Jaymshu, Kanchan Bambaniya, and her son Bharat. According to police, all victims were residents of Ghoghla village in Diu and were traveling to Mata No Madh in Kutch for religious darshan.

Cause of Accident

Preliminary investigation suggests that the car's tyre burst, causing the driver to lose control before the vehicle collided with the truck, said Rakesh Patel, police inspector of Maliya Miyana police station. Police confirmed that Bharat was driving the car at the time of the accident.

Injuries and Medical Response

Jagruti Pandya and her minor daughter sustained injuries in the crash. They were initially taken to a nearby government hospital and later referred to Rajkot Civil Hospital for further treatment. Authorities are investigating the incident further.
