Girl Dies by Suicide in Vijayawada Over School Admission

A tragic incident has been reported from Vijayawada, where a 15-year-old girl allegedly died by suicide at her residence in Wynchipet on Thursday. The local police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.

According to police officials, the girl had recently completed her Class IX education and was preparing to join Class X at a different school. As part of the admission process, she needed to obtain a transfer certificate (TC) from her previous school. However, the school reportedly sought confirmation from the new institution before issuing the certificate, which caused delays.

Police stated that the girl had discussed the admission procedure with her mother. On Thursday, she called her mother regarding the school-related formalities. Her mother informed her that they would visit the school the following day, as she was occupied with work.

When the mother returned home in the evening, she found the house locked from the inside. After receiving no response, family members broke open the door and discovered the girl hanging. She was immediately rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead upon arrival.

The body has been sent for postmortem examination. Police are recording statements from family members and examining all possible angles as part of the ongoing investigation.
