Kolkata Metro to Start Services from 4 am on June 21

Kolkata Metro will commence services from 4 am on Sunday, June 21, and operate additional trains to accommodate passengers for the International Yoga Day event and the NEET exam. Officials confirmed that no services will be available on the Purple Line and Orange Line on that day.

Additional Trains for Yoga Day and NEET

The decision to start early and add extra trains aims to facilitate smooth travel for participants of the International Yoga Day celebration and students appearing for the NEET examination. The Metro authorities have coordinated with event organizers and exam centers to ensure adequate capacity.

Service Adjustments

While most lines will see enhanced service, the Purple Line and Orange Line will remain closed on Sunday. Passengers are advised to plan their journeys accordingly and use alternative routes. The regular timetable will resume on Monday.
