A party spokesperson confirmed that a meeting was held to review the arrangements for the proposed protest. During the meeting, it was resolved to widen support for the campaign by reaching out to allies and other political groups. The NC aims to build a broad consensus on the issue, which has been a key demand since the abrogation of Article 370 in August 2019.
Statehood Demand Gains Momentum
The call for statehood has been a central plank of the NC's political agenda.
