Yogi Adityanath Lauds PM Modi's Leadership at Major Infrastructure Event

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, speaking at a significant infrastructure inauguration in Meerut on Sunday, hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the "architect of a new and modern India." He emphasized that Modi's ambitious vision for a 'Viksit Bharat' or Developed India is gaining widespread global admiration for its unique blend of state-of-the-art infrastructure and effective welfare delivery mechanisms.

Major Projects Dedicated to the Nation

Prime Minister Modi officially dedicated a series of development projects with a total value of Rs 12,930 crore to the nation from Meerut. The key inaugurations included:

  • The 5-kilometer NaMo Bharat rapid rail stretch connecting Sarai Kale Khan to New Ashok Nagar in Delhi.
  • A 21-kilometer section from Meerut South to Modipuram, which completes the entire Delhi-Meerut NaMo Bharat corridor.
  • The launch of the 21-kilometer Meerut Metro stretch, enhancing urban transit in the region.

Adityanath noted that the timing of these launches, just ahead of the Holi festival, symbolizes the strengthening foundation of a developed India. He highlighted the transformative impact on travel, stating that journeys between Meerut and Delhi, which once took 4-5 hours due to congestion, have been reduced to just 45-50 minutes thanks to improved infrastructure like 12-lane expressways. The new rapid rail and metro services are expected to further boost connectivity and ease of living.

Global Recognition and Technological Preparedness

The Chief Minister referenced recent global events to underscore Modi's international stature. He mentioned the India AI Impact Summit in New Delhi, where global leaders reportedly praised the Prime Minister's vision and its effective implementation. Specifically, Adityanath pointed out that French President Emmanuel Macron commended India's digital transformation, particularly the creation of digital identities for 1.4 billion people and the expansion of health coverage to 500 million beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

"Such remarks reflect the PM's foresight in ensuring welfare schemes reach the most deprived sections," Adityanath asserted. He also connected this to future readiness, noting the foundation laying for a semiconductor plant in Gautam Budh Nagar as evidence that India is preparing itself for upcoming technological challenges.

Governance Model and Infrastructure Expansion

Adityanath elaborated on Modi's governance approach, which places a strong emphasis on monitoring infrastructure projects. He highlighted that the Prime Minister recently chaired the 50th review meeting under the PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) mechanism, a system he claimed was absent before 2014.

"Projects worth Rs 85 lakh crore, which were pending for decades, got implemented over the past decade due to proactive review and coordination," the Chief Minister stated. He further detailed the rapid expansion of various infrastructure initiatives under Modi's leadership, including:

  1. Namo Bharat rapid rail services
  2. Metro networks across cities
  3. Vande Bharat trains
  4. Development of waterways and expressways
  5. Dedicated freight corridors

These projects, according to Adityanath, have collectively improved the ease of living for citizens nationwide.

Future Inaugurations and Historical Context

Looking ahead, Yogi Adityanath extended an invitation to Prime Minister Modi to inaugurate the nearly completed Major Dhyan Chand Sports University in Meerut, which will be Uttar Pradesh's first sports university. He also requested the PM to inaugurate the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar and lay the foundation stone for the newly approved Noida Metro route, expressing optimism that this project would be completed within three years.
