UP Instructors Hail CM for Honorarium Hike to Rs 17,000

Lucknow: Part-time instructors on Sunday expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for raising their honorarium from Rs 9,000 to Rs 17,000. The increased payout is expected to alleviate financial burdens and improve the quality of life for these educators.

Instructors Share Their Appreciation

Shikha Singh from Rae Bareli, who received a cheque from the CM, stated that the state government has resolved the financial challenges faced by part-time instructors. The enhanced honorarium will enable families to lead a better life, she added.

Kaushlendra Chauhan from Lucknow thanked the government not only for the monthly increase but also for introducing a cashless medical facility. This scheme covers treatment costs for instructors as long as the hospital bill remains under Rs 5 lakh, providing crucial healthcare support.

Upendra Shukla from Ayodhya praised the organization of a grand felicitation ceremony, calling it a positive step that recognizes the contributions of teachers.

Deepti Verma from Barabanki, Praveen Rana from Lakhimpur Kheri, and Rashmi Yadav from Unnao were among those honored at the event.

Government Initiatives

Basic Education Minister (Independent) Sandeep Singh revealed that 9,645 instructors are currently working as health and physical education instructors, among other roles, while 6,192 others are engaged in teaching students. The minister also highlighted that digital libraries and modernization of school buildings are being carried out rapidly across the state.
