Abhiram Shankar, a 2001-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, brings extensive administrative experience to the role. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Commissioner of the Commercial Taxes Department in Karnataka. His previous assignments include positions as Deputy Commissioner of various districts and as Managing Director of the Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation.
