Indore: Ending months of uncertainty for thousands of aspirants, the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) on Friday announced the schedule for the State Service Main Examination-2025. The examination, which had remained stalled due to a pending legal dispute, will now be conducted from August 17 to 22 across 12 district headquarters in the state. The decision follows an order by the High Court on June 18 in connection with a petition challenging aspects of the recruitment process.
Examination Centres
According to a notification issued by MPPSC, the examination will be held at centres in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Ujjain, Sagar, Rewa, Satna, Shahdol, Chambal, Narmadapuram, and other designated divisional headquarters.
Detailed Schedule
The six-day examination schedule includes four General Studies papers from August 17 to 20, each to be held from 10 am to 1 pm. The Hindi Essay and Precis Writing paper will be conducted on August 21 from 10 am to 12 noon, while the final paper on August 22 will be held from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Application Process
MPPSC has invited online applications from eligible candidates between June 25 and July 15 through MP Online and MPPSC portals. Candidates will be allowed to make corrections in their application forms between June 30 and July 17 on payment of the prescribed fee. Admit cards will be available for download from August 10.
Important Instructions
The commission has also clarified that answer sheets will be provided in a structured format, and candidates will have to write their responses within the prescribed space. Detailed instructions regarding the examination and admit cards have been uploaded on the commission’s website.
Vacancies
The State Service Examination-2025 will be conducted to fill 158 vacancies in various state administrative and allied services. The announcement has brought relief to aspirants who had been waiting for more than a year for the recruitment process to move forward.
